New Delhi: Earlier this week, Indian Health Ministry took a significant step by banning more than 350 fixed-dose combinations (FDCs) in the country for safety reasons.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, recently a new list of 1,200 fixed-dose combinations (FDCs) has been sent for probe by Drug Controller General of India (DGCI) to the panel that banned about 350 drugs last week.
Fixed dose combination or FDC drugs contain two or more active pharmaceutical ingredients in fixed proportions in a single pill and also contain codeine which causes lethal damage to brain and psyche.
So far about 6,600 FDCs has been reviewed by the Kokate Committee and have classified them under four categories of irrational, require further deliberations, rational and require additional data generation, as reported.
“Under the irrational category, there were 963 FDCs, out of which 350 have been announced, and the list has been dismantled. We have moved to the ‘require further deliberations’ category, where the final list is expected to come in six months,” an official at the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) was quoted as saying in the report.
The DGCI has now submitted the “B” list to the Kokate committee. Out of the 1,200 FDCs mentioned in the list, 8-10%, i.e. around 120 drugs, would fall under the banned category, a senior DGCI official said.
“As per estimate, each FDC has at least 5 to 10 brands in the market, which means around 1,200 more drugs are likely to be banned,” the official at CDSCO added.
“We are not against any product or brand. We are only siphoning off the irrational combinations,” said CK Kokate, chairman of the committee formed by the government to reviewed FDCs in the HT report.
----సూర్యప్రకాష్ జోశ్యుల గ్రీకు వీరుడు, భాయ్ చిత్రాల దర్శకులకు ముందుగా నాగార్జున ధాంక్స్ చెప్పుకోవాలి. ఎందుకంటే రొటీన్ వదిలాలి..లేకపోతే సక్సెస్ మనల్ని వదిలేస్తుంది అనే బలమైన భావన కలిగించిన సినిమాలు అవే. ఆ తర్వాతే మనం, సోగ్గాడే చిన్ని నాయినా, ఊపిరి వంటి సినిమాలు ఇస్తున్నాడు నాగార్జున. ముఖ్యంగా నవ్విస్తూ...అక్కడక్కడా ఎమోషన్ తో కళ్లు చెమ్మగిల్లేలా చేసే సినిమాలు మనకు అరుదు. అలాంటి సినిమాల్లో మొదటి వరసలో నిలిచే చిత్రం ఊపిరి అని చెప్పటానికి సందేహించక్కర్లేదు. సెకండాఫ్ లో కొద్దిగా డల్ అయినట్లు అనిపించినా, ఫైనల్ గా మంచి సినిమా చూసిన ఫీల్ కలిగించింది. ఫ్రెంచ్ రీమేక్ అయినా అచ్చ తెలుగు కథలా చక్కగా మార్చి అందించిన దర్శక,నిర్మాతలను అభినందించాలి. ముఖ్యంగా సినిమా మొదటి నుంచి చివరి వరకూ వీల్ ఛెయిర్ కూర్చునే పాత్రను ధైర్యంగా ఒప్పుకుని పండించిన నాగార్జున, మాస్ అప్పీల్ తో అదరకొట్టిన కార్తీ సినిమాని ఒంటిచేతలపై మోసారు. మిలియనీర్ అయిన విక్రమాదిత్య (నాగార్జున)ఓ యాక్సిడెంట్ లో తన రెండు కాళ్లు, చేతులు పనిచేయని స్దితికి చేరుకుంటాడు. వీల్ ఛెయిర్ కే అంకితమైన అతను ఇరవైనాలుగు గంటలూ చాలా ఓపికగా చూసుకునే కేర్ టేకర్ కోసం వెతుకుతూంటారు. ఈ లోగా దొంగతనం కేసులో జైలుకు వెళ్లి వచ్చిన శ్రీను (కార్తీ) ఆ కేర్ టేకర్ పోస్ట్ కు ఇంటర్వూకు వస్తాడు. అమాయికంగా, అంతకు మించి నిజాయితీగా ఉండే శ్రీను ..మొదటి మాటల్లోనే విక్రమాదిత్యకు నచ్చేస్తాడు. దాంతో ఉద్యోగం ఇస్తాడు...అక్కడ నుంచి విక్రమాదిత్యను కార్తీ ఎలా చూసుకున్నాడు...ఇద్దరి మధ్యా ఎలాంటి బాండింగ్ ఏర్పడింది...అసలు ఈ కథకు ఊపిరి అనే టైటిల్ ఎందుకు పెట్టారు అనే విషయాలు తెలియాలంటే సినిమా చూడాల్సిందే. సాధారణంగా రీమేక్ లు ఎప్పుడో కానీ సక్సెస్ కావు..ఎందుకంటే అందులో సోల్ పట్టుకోకుండా చాలా సార్లు సోది పట్టుకుని సాగతీస్తూంటారు. అయితే ఈ సినిమా విషయానికి వచ్చేసరికి ఒరిజనల్ ని మించారు అని చెప్పవచ్చు. ఫ్రెంచ్ చిత్రం 'ది ఇంటచబుల్స్' కంటే బెటర్ గా ఎమోషనల్ జర్నీని చూపించి ఫీల్ గుడ్ స్టొరీ కు ఫన్ కలిసి జనరంజకంగా 'ఊపిరి'ని అందించారు. అయితే కేవలం ఇంటర్వెల్ వరకూ మాత్రమే పైన చెప్పిన వాక్యాలు మీరు పరిగణనలోకి తీసుకోవాలి. ఎందుకంటే సెకండాఫ్ లో ముఖ్యంగా ప్యారిస్ ఎపిసోడ్ చాలా డల్ గా నడుస్తుంది. ఫన్ తగ్గిపోతుంది..అప్ కోర్స్ ఫస్టాఫ్ కి భిన్నంగా సెకండాఫ్ లో ఎమోషన్స్ రన్ అయ్యే ఫేజ్ కాబట్టి డైరక్టరు కూడా ఏదైనా చేసే స్కోప్ తక్కువే. అయితే కాస్త డ్రైగా ఉన్న ఆ ఎపిసోడ్స లెంగ్త్ తగ్గించాల్సి ఉంటే బాగుండేది. అలాగే..కార్తి, తమన్నాల పాట ..కమర్షియల్ యాంగిల్ కోసం పెట్టునట్లున్నారు. కానీ అక్కడే డీవియేట్ అయ్యిపోయింది. ముఖ్యంగా సెకండాఫ్ లో ఎపిసోడ్స్ చూస్తూంటే గ్రీకు వీరుడు సెకండాఫ్ లో నాగార్జన, నయనతార ల మధ్య జర్నీ ఫేజ్ గుర్తుకు వస్తుంది. అలాగే ఒకే విషయం పదే పదే రిపీట్ అవుతున్నట్లు సీన్స్ వస్తూంటాయి సెకండాఫ్ లో.
